Meet the team at Jacobus Recourt

Britte den Broeder

Buro Brit
I have been working at Jacobus Recourt Makelaars as a Candidate Broker since 2005 and in all these years I have gained extensive experience mainly in selling and letting houses. The housing market is always on the move and that's what makes the profession so interesting for me. Every period needs a different approach to do my job well and I enjoy immersing myself in it. I enjoy working for both professional clients such as large investors and pension funds as well as private clients. For professional clients, I have to work mainly on a project basis, while private clients involve more emotion. That combination suits me well.
We work in a small team where short lines of communication, clear communication and a willingness to strive for the best result together are the common threads. Fortunately, with our communal lunches, Friday afternoon drinks and the informal atmosphere in the office, there is also plenty of time for sociability. I still enjoy going to work after all these years.

Joyce Ruijsbroek

I have been working in real estate for almost 25 years. For the first 12 years, I worked at a large estate agency as executive secretary for two appraisers. At two other brokerage offices, I had different roles but valuations were always part of it.

I have been working at Jacobus Recourt as Appraisals Coordinator for over three years now. My job is to make the entire valuation process run as smoothly as possible. With the best possible preparation of the files, I ensure that my colleagues can fully focus on the often complex valuations.

It is very satisfying when the whole process runs smoothly and both customers and colleagues are happy. There is hard work at Recourt but the good working atmosphere ensures that I never go to work reluctantly!

Jan-Willem Klerkx

Klerkx Brokerage

Working as an Estate Agent from 1990 and as an appraiser of Commercial Real Estate from 2000. If I had not started as an estate agent, I would have become a lawyer or a journalist.

Am working within Jacobus Recourt mainly as a valuer. The great thing about appraising is that many disciplines come together here, including the sustainable aspects (ESG) of real estate. In short, as an appraiser you hear a lot about the many aspects of real estate.

Also partly active as a real estate agent Commercial Real Estate to keep sufficient feeling with the transaction market. This benefits the quality of valuations.

I like to spend my free time reading, eating good food in good company and occasionally going on holidays where skiing, mountain hiking and city trips are my favourites.

Harold van Echteld

After the Hogere Hotelschool in The Hague, I worked in the hotel industry for a while, worked at the ABN AMRO BANK as account manager business for SMEs and after a few years switched to real estate brokerage. For over 25 years I have been working at Jacobus Recourt in the position of business broker and since 2000 director/DGA/owner.

I was sworn in as an estate agent in 2000, to which my RICS membership has since been added.

My work mainly consists of renting and buying commercial real estate in the Haaglanden region. I am also a lecturer in business brokerage at the Academy for Real Estate and a board member of The Hague New Centre.
